Life After the Lockup

Jail was the easy part.
Life After the Lockup

Sixty days. That’s how long it took for me to realize the outside world is basically the same circus—just with better coffee and fewer metal doors.

I’m Miranda. I survived Sarasota County Jail with my sanity (mostly) intact and my sarcasm sharpened into a perfectly crafted emotional shank. Turns out the real challenge isn’t surviving lockup… it’s navigating life afterward.

Now I’m rebuilding one chaotic step at a time—fighting systems, untangling legal nonsense, raising kids, and occasionally stress-baking like it’s an Olympic sport.

This isn’t a redemption fairy tale. It’s not a Netflix documentary. And it’s definitely not the version of events you hear in court filings.

It’s survival. It’s truth. And it’s what life actually looks like almost 60 days in.
